I have been contemplating purchasing my first duplex.  I've located the area where I'd like to buy and have done research regarding the market in that area.  I've noticed that most of the duplexes and triplexes that are currently for sale are all one bedroom per unit.  Is it easier to rent two + bedroom units that one?  Is this a factor to take into consideration?

First of all- every area is different. So be sure to do your research in that area. Most people who are looking to rent or even buy a duplex are generally looking for 2 or more bedrooms. One bedroom units of any type generally are harder to keep rented and harder to get rid of when you are ready to sell. Good luck!
