    Introduce yourself!

There are a lot of Rich Women in this community!  If you'd like, take a moment to introduce yourself!

My name is Erin.  I'm a mom and business woman.  I work with Kim and Rich Woman, but I got my start reading Rich Dad Poor Dad four years ago!  I am really excited to have a place here where like minded women can learn and support one another!

    Re: Introduce yourself!

    Hi Erin,

My name is Denise from Charleston,SC; I’ve recently read "Rich Dad Poor Dad". I'm extremely excited about the wealth of information given in the book. I'm currently employed with an Independent Insurance Agency as an Account Manager.

I’ve began reading different books to expand my knowledge about building my assets. As a novice could you provide some insight on where to actually begin after I’ve done my research. Would investing (stocks, mutual funds, etc.) be my best area to begin?  Please advise.

Thank you for your  attention inadvance.

    Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi and welcome!  While I would like to keep this thread to introductions, I will say a couple things: (1) Research is ongoing (2) I would highly recommend the game Cashflow to figure out what sort of investments interest you and start putting some of the principles to action in  safe and great way to learn!

Great question!  Where are our other ladies at?

    Re: Introduce yourself!

    Hi,

My name is Kristin (36) and I'm from Long Island NY. My husband and i read rich dad poor dad about 5 years ago. Our lives have never been the same since. We've become "obsessed" with all the rich dad programs and have found ourselves on an unbelievable journey on all levels. We are truly indebted to Kim and Robert. Their generousity has changed our lives and our childrens lives as well, although they are too young to realize it now.  Thank you, Kim and Robert, for all you've done.

    Re: Introduce yourself!

My name is Natalie, I live in NC.  I am separated with a son in school out of state.  I recently found the rich dad poor dad book in my sons stack of books; since I was fresh out of reading material I started the book.  I have an MBA and not an ounce of my schooling ever opened my eyes as much as these books did; I've since bought three more and counting.  I was looking for a way to increase my income without putting it in another savings, money market cd or in my government retirement account and ending up paying the higher taxes when I would least be able to afford it-when I retire.

    Re: Introduce yourself!

My name is Maria.  I am a business woman who makes her living as a yoga teacher & yoga therapist.  I also consult for a local non-profit in San Diego.  Early this month, I started a financial freedom (FF) support group, because as much as I love teaching yoga, I don't want to HAVE to teach or work ten years from now unless I choose to.  So moving from blissyogi to financially free yogi is where I'm headed.  Our first book to read and discuss at next month's meeting is Rich Woman.  My husband is also in the group and we are reading and doing the exercises.

I'm excited to be in the Rich Woman Community and learn.  I'm not sure about Real Estate, especially here in San Diego, but am open to learning.  Lately I have been dabbling in micro-lending with an on-line company.  I like the idea of helping people and earning anywhere from 10-18% on my money...but still not sure that that is where to put the majority of my FF funds.

    Thank you!

    Re: Hello From Nevada!

Hi, I'm new to Rich Woman, although I have been a long time fan of Rich Dad, and think the message is so important!!  I like business and want to learn how to invest in apartments.  I discovered that was what I wanted to focus on after playing the Cashflow game over and over with anyone who would sit still long enough for me to get it out!

    I'm glad to be here!

    Re: Introduce yourself!

Hello Rich Women! Big Smile I'm Starr, a young, ambitious adult, barely beginning my journey to financial freedom. I have a lot of passion to make a difference in the world through missions and reaching my hand to those in need! My goal is to become financially free so that I have the ability to travel the world and help those in need without worrying about where I'm going to get my next meal or how I am going to pay my bills. I have never wanted to be just an ordinary woman, yes, one day I do want to get married and I do want to have children, but I do not want to worry about loosing quality time with my family because I am too busy working to help support them. I want to have a rich life (rich with love and joy) I want to give to my children what I was not able to have. That is why it is extremely important for me to run in the race, this race that I am so anxious to get out of so that I can see my dreams come true, and so that I may use my strengths to give hope to the hopeless and love those who feel unloved! This is me! A new woman, with passions and dreams just like so many of you out there! Please join with me on this road to freedom, that seems so endless sometimes. When a few strong woman come together, there is nothing that can come in our way!!! Smile

    Re: Introduce yourself!

Good morning Rich Women!! My name is Tricia I am 19 and a part time college student. I have been working with the Rich Dad company for 11 months and have never experienced anything quite like it! When Robert and Kim say to surround yourself with like minded people, take that advice. Before i started working with the company I never knew anything about Rich Dad and the message that is being delivered.  Now I truly believe that with this message we can provide the education that is needed to change the world. I know that every day I further my education and I would suggest that all you women do the same! -Tricia Big Smile

    Re: Introduce yourself!

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Katie and I have 6 more weeks until I receive my BBA (thank goodness.)  In my finance class, our instructor had us read Rich Dad, Poor Dad.  I was one of the 3 people in the class to actually read it and when we played CASHFLOW, I was dealt a low income occupation and STILL became the first in my class to get out of the 'rat race.'  It made me feel like I really did understand everything I had read in the book (unlike the text books we read.)  I moved here, to Arizona from Michigan less than 4 weeks ago to surround myself with "like minded" people.  I have been blessed with an amazing mentor who's primary source of income is apartment properties.  I didn't really understand everything he would speak of but after I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, something clicked...now, my fiancee and I have just begun searching for our first investment property!  I am so excited to be a part of this community to share ideas and further my financial education!!

    Tricia -

Wow, 19!  I'm 21 and thought I was young...good for you!  Do you actually work FOR the company or do you have some other affiliation with them?  I am new to the Phoenix area and searching for work (at least for the time being.)  What are you studying in school?  I am an entrepreneurship major but we touched on marketing, management, finance and accounting.  I wish I would have majored in finance in retrospect.  Anyway, it's really nice to meet someone my age who doesn't think I'm crazy for thinking that Rich Dad's ideas make sense.  Do you ever get that?

Hope to talk to you soon!

    Katie

    Re: Introduce yourself!

Hello Rich Women.  I have been reading the Rich Dad books for the last 5 years and have learned allot.  I have now given Rich Dad Poor Dad for Teens to a good friend's daughter who is 14 and she is loving it.  I live in north Texas, right now I am unempoyed due to a car accident with an eighteen wheeler last November.  When I woke up from my coma in January my best friend brought me my Bible, a few other books and Why We Want You To Be Rich.  Which I had been reading before the accident.  While I have been recovering, I have become very focused on financial freedom. Before my accident I thought I had plenty of time to worry about money.  Now with a changed perspective, I want to take the steps and use all that I have been learned, and continue to learn much more.  I am thankful to have found this site and look forward to learning with like minded women.
