Pursue Your Dreams with The New York Times

Women Entrepreneurs: Invest in Your Start-Up Dreams. Or Take Your Company to the Next Level.

Starting a business demands know-how and a deep personal commitment. Do you have what it takes? Why do companies started by men tend to grow bigger than those started by women? Are women strategically choosing to limit the growth of their businesses, or are they choosing to go into businesses with low growth potential?

Discover answers to these questions and more, by participating in the Women’s Entrepreneurship Institute (WEI), an exciting program for both nascent and experienced female entrepreneurs, offered by Northern Kentucky University and The New York Times Knowledge Network. The WEI offers online courses and live interactive Webcasts, and culminates in a networking reception at The New York Times headquarters in New York City.

Choose from a wide range of online courses covering virtually every aspect of starting and running a business. The courses include videotaped lectures, interviews with successful entrepreneurs, lively forums, and comprehensive feedback on assigned projects and business plans. Students who complete five WEI courses receive a Certificate in Entrepreneurship.

The WEI also offers live, interactive Webcasts featuring business leaders and journalists from The New York Times, discussing important trends and issues for women in business today. Participants viewing live Webcasts will have the opportunity for their questions to be answered during the session. The WEI provides valuable networking opportunities; connecting you with mentors as well as with other new entrepreneurs, helping you establish the professional connections that are vital to business success.
