Re: Looking for a home base business
Hi Suniside31... I think you need to clarify whether or not you are looking for a business or a wah job. You are using both in saying that you are looking for a hb business and a second job? A few things to keep in mind: if you are looking for a job, make sure that you do NOT pay for information, etc...legitimate companies will not ask you for money to work for them. Now a business is probably going to require some investment on your part, so you need to decide exactly what you are looking for. Remember that there is a learning curve as well in building a business (2-5 years on average)...finally there are NO get rich quick opportunities out there...if you are determined and do your research, you CAN do it. If you decide to go with a hb biz make sure it is a product or service that you absolutely LOVE (health and wellness, home decor, travel, food, whatever, make sure it's your passion because you will be living and breathing it 24/7). Make sure that you feel comfortable with your sponsor/enroller and team so that you can learn all you can to be successful. Join other work at home forums, they are invaluable for getting advice and ideas. I wish you the absolute best of luck and success!

Re: Looking for a home base business
Hi Shirley, A home based business may be the perfect option for a second income. I too wanted a second stream of income and found that "direct marketing or network marketing" provided me with tax savings, financial education, team support, and passive income - the best kind of income. However, not all opportunities are created equally. There are many companies out there today recognizing direct marketing as a powerful way to bring products to market. How do you choose? Like you, I read many books on wealth building and found the experts advise us to look for a company which meets the following criteria: - Good reputation of the company - check the records - how long has the company been in business and are there any marks against it?
- Infrastructure of the company - can it handle the growth? Is it poised for growth?
- Does the company have it's own research and development? Is it published?
- Consumable products - so you can create a relationship with your customers for continued use
- More than one type of product in the line - so your customers can expand product use as they enjoy the products and your service
The traditional approach to direct marketing, ie. calling all friends and family, didn't work for me. I was very fortunate to be introduced to a team which worked with a professional marketing coach and use a strategic business plan, including developing my own image. If this sounds interesting to you, please feel free to look up the following websites: www.shaklee.net/positivechange , www.paulaenglish.com . My team and I have a conference call, Women's Wealth Iniative, on Monday nights at 7pm EST. Please join us with your questions: 231-644-8000 pin 306446#. Best of luck to you and your family, Jan O'Han, owner Positive Change Inc.

Re: Looking for a home base business
Hi Shirley, You already been given some good advice, but I do want to add a couple of things. Regarding not paying for a wah job, the advice not to pay anyone to work for them is absolutely true, except in a few cases. There are several legitimate wah employers, or companies which hire home based independent contractors, who will require you to pay for a background check...usually about $35. That is a reasonable fee which enables them to be assured that you can be trusted with customers personal details. I also want to suggest that while starting a home business is the best way to free your time and finances eventually, starting with a wah job is a good first step. That will give you the extra regular income to make better choices later on. Jobs like this can be found at wah mom type forums, usually under a telecommuting folder, or I have a small list on the wah resources page of my website, www.seabead.com best wishes, Deb

Re: Looking for a home base business
Hi Shirley, I spent about two years researching products for a home based business. Like many others, I didn't want to feel like I was bugging my family and friends to buy stuff they really didn't want, I didn't want to have house parties, and I didn't want to sell juice, vitamins, or cookware. I just wanted a product that I would use myself AND could stand behind 100%. I found that and MORE with WorldVentures. The training and support is FABULOUS and it offers health insurance from Day 1. Check out the three videos at www.destinationavalon.biz It may or may not be for you, but if you are interested shoot me an email at destinationavalon@gmail.com

Re: Looking for a home base business
Hi Shirley, I don't know if you found what you were looking for, but I spent a lot of time researching home based businesses and found one that met the requirements in the Cashflow Quadrant: an excellent system with very good training and a great product. I have seen proof of what hard work and a lot of passion can do. I would love to chat with you further. Please feel free to call me at 978-501-4343. Sandra

Re: Looking for a home base business
Hey danim, Kristine, Jan, Avalon and all here! I've been here at Rich Woman for at least a year and more... going in and out... and still feeling like a new person... just looking and looking and looking for that hb business that fits my personality and interests ... that does not leave me in the dark as a beginner. This forum is so HELPFUL! Almost every link you send here in this blog is so useful and interesting. I have questions for Danim: Out of curiosity I clicked your signature... MX+Forex=Wealth. Ummm... what is it actually? This doesn't look like a "Get Rich Quick" scheme... but it looks so ... out of my understanding... so out of my context/reality. I know there is an email on any questions on your site... but I'd rather ask you here on this forum: What is it??? Never knew such a possibility exists!?! Is your email yours or someone else's? Just curious... Jan's website: http://www.shaklee.net/positivechange/main ... is so interesting to take a good look at. I read, hear and listen a lot about Earth-friendly products... which I find is going to be King & Queen in the Investment/Marketing world in the very near future... alongside with bio-technology. There are too many reasons out there to ponder on. It's been a long lost dream of mine to find earthy and fun products... because I'm very sensitive body-wise and have a short attention span... and the more organic, fun and creative the better I'm interested. Like Avalon, I HATE pills or products that come in bottles. Here in the Caribbean... I daily use straight-from-the garden foods and products... and experiential learning. Are there any products out there that have a more creative and earthy look... that have a team/coach behind the newcomer... learning real hands-on financial education and really having passive income after the first few months of wobbling? Something a bit different in appearance? I ought to give Jan's link a chance and just try it out. It looks fun to hop on board even. Avalon's link is very out of the box for me too... Please keep on sharing more links like these. Lou Ann Saint Lucia, Caribbean
